Active Ingredients: Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus Vaccine, Modified Live Virus Leptospira Bacterin. Gentamicin and a fungistat as preservative.
Uses: Canine Spectra 7 is recommended for vaccination of healthy, susceptible dogs against disease caused by canine distemper, hepatitis (canine adenovirus type 1), canine adenovirus type 2, parainfluenza, parvovirus, Leptospira canicola and Leptospira icterohaemorrhagiae.
Availability: SoloJec 7 is a non-prescription over-the-counter (OTC) product and available as a single dose.
How to use: The dry Distemper-Hepatitis-Parainfluenza Vaccine is rehydrated with 1 ml of liquid Parvovirus Vaccine-Leptospira canicola-incterhaemorrhagiae Bacterin. Shake well and use entire contents when first opened. Using aseptic technique inject the vial of liquid diluent into the vial containing the freeze dried powder. Mix gently until dissolved. Remove the entire contents back into the syringe. Push out any trapped air. Administer the entire contents (1 ml) immediately after mixing by injecting intramuscularly into the large muscle of a hind limb or subcutaneously under loose skin at the back of the neck. The initial dose may be given at 7 weeks of age. Repeat in 2 to 4 week intervals until the dog is 18 weeks of age. A minimum of two doses are required for primary immunization. Annual re-vaccination with one dose is recommended.
Side effects: The use of a biological products may produce anaphylaxis and/or other inflammatory immune-mediated allergic reactions. Epinephrine, corticosteroids and antihistamines may all be indicated as antidotes depending on the nature and severity of the reaction. If anaphylactoid reaction occur contact your veterinarian immediatelly.
Precautions: This product is for intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SC) use on dogs only. Do not inject into a blood vessel. Do not vaccinate pregnant bitches. Vaccinate only healthy, non-parasitized dogs. Use entire contents when first rehydrated.
Overdose: Not applicable.
Storage: Store this product in a refrigerator at 35° to 45°F. Do not freeze. Burn containers and all unused contents. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
