Active Ingredients: Each teaspoon 5 ml contains 250 mg piperazine base as piperazine citrate.
Uses: Erliworm Liquid Wormer for Dogs and Cats is a safe and effective treatment for the control of large roundworms (Toxocara canis and Toxascaris leonina). Availability: Erliworm Liquid Wormer for Dogs and Cats is a non-prescription over-the-counter (OTC) product.
How to use: For puppies 6 weeks or older and Dogs administer 1 teaspoon per 10 lbs of body weight. Repeat dosage after 10 days, then repeat the treatment every 30 days to prevent re-infestation. For kittens 6 weeks or older and Cats administer 1/2 teaspoon per 5 lbs of body weight. Repeat dosage after 10 days, then repeat the treatment every 30 days intervals to prevent re-infestaion.
Side effects: Although piperazine has a high degree of safety, an occasional animal may show nausea, vomiting or muscular tremors. Such side effects are usually associated with over-dosage. Therefore, the recommended dosage should be followed carefully. Consult your veterinarian in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of parasitism.
Precautions: Please read and follow label directions. Do not use on puppies or kittens under 6 weeks of age. Do not use with dogs and cats who are ill. Consult your veterinarian before worming pregnant animals. Never worm a sick puppy, dog, kitten or cat.
Overdose: Signs of overdose include nausea, vomiting or muscular tremors. If overdose is suspected, contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency hospital.
Storage: Keep this medications out of the reach of children and pets to avoid unintended consumption.
