As pets age it is common for their joints to become less flexible which impacts their mobility and quality of life. Cosequin is an exclusive formula to support and maintain the health of your dog’s and cat’s joints. Cosequin is #1 veterinarian-recommended joint health supplement. Availability: Cosequin is a non-prescription over-the-counter (OTC) product.
How to use: The recommended initial administration period is 4-6 weeks. Your pet may respond in a shorter period of time. For dogs and cats under 10 lbs give 1/2 to 1 capsule daily, for cats and dogs 10-24 lbs give 2 capsules twice a day (1 in A.M. and 1 in P.M.), and for cats and dogs 25-50 lbs give 4 capsules daily (2 in A.M. and 2 in P.M.). After initial administration the dosage can be often reduced to a level that maintains the pet. Capsules can be pulled apart and the contents sprinkled on the pet's food.
Side effects: There are no known interactions or serious side effects. In rare instances may result in diarrhea.
Precautions: This product is not intended to be used in place of other treatments, in the presence of an infection, or if surgery is needed.
Overdose: Not available. In rare instances may result in diarrhea. If the condition persist, contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency hospital.
