Uses: Capstar Tabs for Dogs over 25 lbs is once a day oral medication for the treatment of flea infestations. Fast acting, Capstar Tabs begin to kill adult fleas within 30 minutes and continue for 24 hours. Most of the adult fleas will be gone within 4 hours. Capstar Tabs are safe for pregnant or nursing dogs and also may be used with other flea products such as Advantage, Frontline or Program.
Availability: Capstar Tabs is a non-prescription over-the-counter (OTC) product.
How to use: Read entire label before use. Do not administer this product for dogs and puppies and cats and kittens less than 4 weeks of age and under 2 lbs of body weight. Capstar Tabs are available in 2 color-coded package sizes in 6 tablet pack for different weight ranges. For dogs 2-25 lbs Blue pack and for dogs 25.1-125 lbs Green pack. Weight your pet prior to administration to insure proper dosage. If your pet get re-infested whit fleas, you can safely give another dose as often as once per day. For pets over 125 lbs combine correct combination of tablets. No more than one treatment should be given per day.
Side effects: For the first hour after administration, the pet may scratch more than normal. This effect is caused by the fleas reacting to the product.
Precautions: Do not administer this product for dogs and puppies and cats and kittens less than 4 weeks of age and under 2 lbs of body weight. This medication treats the pet only. To properly control fleas all pets must be treated with Capstar Tabs, and your pet's surrounding environment also must be treated to prevent re-occurrence.
Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency hospital.
Storage: Store this product at room temperature between 59° and 86° F (15°-30° C). Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
