Availability: Canine Spectra 8 is a non-prescription over-the-counter (OTC) vaccine and available as a single dose.
How to use: Shake well the diluent and transfer its contents to the freeze-dried vial aseptically. Mix gently until dissolved. Remove the entire contents back into the syringe and push out any air that maybe trapped in the syringe. Inject entire contents (1 ml) subcutaneously (usually under loose skin at the back of the neck) or intramuscularly (usually into the large muscle of a hind limb) immediately after re-hydration. The initial dose may be given at 9 weeks of age. Repeat at 2 to 4 week intervals until the dog is 18 weeks of age. A minimum of two doses are required for primary immunization. Annual re-vaccination with one dose is strongly recommended.
Side effects: The use of a biological may produce anaphylaxis and/or other inflammatory immune-mediated allergic reactions. Epinephrine, corticosteroids and antihistamines may all be indicated as antidotes depending on the nature and severity of the reaction. If anaphylactoid reaction occur contact your veterinarian immediatelly.
Precautions: This product is for intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SC) use only. Do not inject into a blood vessel. Do not vaccinate pregnant dogs. Vaccinate only healthy, non-parasitized dogs. Use entire contents when first re-hydrated.
Overdose: not applicable.
Storage: Store this product in a refrigerator at 35° to 45°F. Do not freeze. Burn containers and all unused contents. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
